Victoria and Courtney are two girls who fell in love. You can see how much they care for each other in the way they look at one another, and the way their faces light up when they’re laughing together. Their wedding was such a sweet day with so many quiet and tender moments tucked in between the joy and the chaos. Their sincerity in their love for each other is truly something to behold, and it was a gift to bear witness to it.
We only had a few minutes for the portraits of just the two of them, but it was so easy to get the shots we needed. They were effortlessly affectionate and warm with each other--makes my job a piece of cake!
Jack’s Barn is a gorgeous place for a wedding. It is so rustic and cute. Be sure to hire a wedding photographer who is skilled in something called “off-camera flash” to get the best possible indoor photos. (Pro tip: Lauren is skilled at off-camera flash. 😎 )
After a beautiful and emotional ceremony, Courtney and Victoria took a much needed break in the downstairs lounge for a few minutes before heading outside for some family photos, and then mingling with their guests during cocktail hour. Check out their amazing decor! I am a sucker for dried floral bouquets.
Their first dance was tender and sweet. Victoria wrote and performed the music, each of them wrote a verse, and the vocals were recorded by a bridesmaid. It was outstanding.
It was truly a perfect day and evening. All people should be so lucky to experience what these girls have together, and it was a true honor to be the person documenting it.
